Gender Equity: Managing Misconceptions, Bias and Resistance
FreeOnline, via Zoom
Join the Level Playground team from FVREE for the second in a series of lunch and learn webinars where we give you the knowledge, practical solutions and confidence to foster inclusive environments for children aged 0-5.
For the first webinar in the series, Practical Strategies for Gender Equity in the Early Years, you can find out more here: https://fvree.org.au/events/practical-strategies-for-gender-equity-in-the-early-years-training-for-early-years-professionals/
In Gender Equity: Managing Misconceptions, Bias and Resistance, we take a deeper dive into doing the work – and what happens when concerns or confusion arise. In this free one-hour webinar we’ll explore how to navigate the challenges of implementing gender equity work, especially when facing potential pushback from families or colleagues. We’ll provide you with practical tools and build your confidence to manage challenging conversations – to build partnerships with families as allies for inclusion and support a more respectful and equal community.
This webinar is generously funded through Monash Council’s Equality and Respect Grant. This free session is available to early childhood educators and those who work with young children aged 0-5 and their families. While spaces are prioritised for those living and working in Monash City Council, all others are welcome to attend.
