3Rs Training Packages
with specialists
Our prevention and education team have developed training packages alongside our frontline Family Violence Specialist Services.
Our best-practice, trauma-informed and intersectional service approaches have informed the development of the best community, corporate and professional family violence training available in Victoria and across Australia.
3RS of family violence
A 3-hour interactive training that is designed based on our Recognise, Respond and Refer framework and explores family violence in all its forms.
Learn how to recognise the signs of family violence, develop the confidence to respond to a disclosure and know how to refer someone to the right supports. Build an understanding about the gendered nature of family violence and how you can play an active role in challenging community attitudes that drive gender inequality and family violence in Australia. Our training is grounded in evidence and shaped by insights gained from our direct service work with victim-survivors. This training can be delivered online or in-person.
This training is perfect for:
- Corporate partners
- Local and state governments
- Not for profits, churches and community centres
- Hospitals, medical centres and first responders
- Schools, tafes and universities
People Leader3RS
Changing legislation has prompted a need for business to understand what’s required in their policies, employee capability and wellbeing of their staff. Build the capacity of people leaders within your workplace to know their role in effectively supporting employees who are responding to family violence. Online and in-person.
HAIR3RS
We know that people are more likely to disclose an incidence of violence to someone they trust and see regularly. Almost every hair and beauty specialist who has participated in our events or training has seen signs of family violence in their salon. Our training gives salon professionals the skills to help clients experiencing family violence. For many, this can be lifesaving. Our initiative has been supported by major brands and ambassadors.
This training is perfect for:
- Hair and beauty salons
- Hair and beauty brands
- Hair and beauty events and conferences
- Hairdressers and barbers
- Beauty therapists and beauticians
- Nail technicians
- Makeup artists
- Cosmetologists and cosmetic tattooists
- Waxers
ANIMAL3RS
Where there are signs of animal abuse or neglect, there is often family violence. We are working with animal caregivers, vets and hospitals to train their staff to recognise the signs of family violence and be prepared to provide support and referrals to family violence services. If you care-for or work with animals, your service can get involved.
This training is perfect for:
- RSPCA and animal rescue organisations
- Vets and animal hospitals
- Veterinary schools and vet nurses
- Local government, rangers and animal support staff
